About Dr. Trofa, ND

Dr. Trofa is a licensed naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist.  With acupuncture, nutrition, herbal medicine, lab testing, and hands on therapies, she focuses on treating the whole body and balancing emotional and physical health.   Every patient is assessed and treated based on their own characteristics  which can be ascertained during an intake interview, that is confirmed by a physical exam.  As, well as, conventional and alternative lab work. Dr. Trofa uses the different modalities mentioned above to treat, with suggested lifestyle changes to decrease symptom intensities, all the while identifying and treating the underlying cause of symptoms for long term changes.  Using these modalities, Dr. Trofa is able to capitalize on healing time, increasing patient motivation to take on lifestyle and nutritional changes tha prevent chronic disease development and Anchor Wellness!

Dr. Trofa graduated with high honors from the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and high honors from the Acupuncture Institute.  Dr. Trofa received the graduate award for Excellence in Homeopathy from the University of Bridgeport, 2018.  In 2019, Dr. Trofa studied acupuncture at Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shenyang, China.  There she received high honors for her studies in acupuncture, clinical training, and moxibustion.

Dr. Trofa's goal is to provide optimal care.  Her specialties include wellness visits, pain conditions, autoimmunity, women's health and fertility, gastrointestinal complaints, stress/anxiety and arthritic conditions.  Dr. Trofa commonly sees patients with stress and anxiety, variety of pain condtions, autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders, high cholesterol, hypertension and heart disease, anxiety/depression, eczema/psoriasis, and obesity.
